Iñigo Mikeleiz Berrade

Born in 1994 in Barañáin (Navarra), Iñigo gained his Bachelor Degree in Music from the Conservatory of Music in Navarra with Nekane Iturrioz and his Master of Arts and Advanced Diploma degrees at the Royal Academy of Music in London under Professor Owen Murray, taking part in courses and masterclasses by renowned musicians like Friedrich Lips, Matti Rantanen, Magnus Lindberg or Claudio Jacomucci.

He has performed in concerts and festivals across Europe, the UK and Argentina, invenues such as the Royal Festival Hall, the Barbican, Royal Albert Hall or Wigmore Hall. Among the instrumental ensembles he has played with are the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Glyndebourne Opera, Opera North and Riot Ensemble.

Iñigo enjoys collaboration with contemporary composers, which has led to the première of new works for different ensembles and art forms, including two accordion concertos.

He is member of the Mikeleiz-Zucchi Duo with saxophonist David Zucchi and the Diphonon Duo, along with violist Michael Iskas.

Along with his work as a performer, Iñigo is an active community musician, regularly working with Wigmore Hall Learning Department and Live Music Now, and currently doing a PhD on the topic in the Public University of Navarra.
